The doors to the north and south only open when you solve the puzzle, so let's get cracking. Many of the dungeons have a Memory Gem and corresponding Sealed Memory Circle. In the next room, approach the symbols on the ground to learn about Memory Gems. It has basic items that you can buy if you need to.īack to the T intersection and go west. A little further north, in the next room, is a Beast Fang in another chest and a shop.

The enemies infinitely respawn though, so don't worry if you accidentally get into a combat or seven. Unfortunately, the stun effect only lasts so long, so you have to be quick about it. Use the pedestal near where Lloyd is to change the Sorcerer's Ring from fire to electricity and use it on the robots while they are on top of the blue squares to open the door. When you next gain control of Lloyd, he'll be alone in a prison cell. I like to take out the Bowman first, as he can interrupt Genis' casting easier. These are the same enemies you've already fought, so use your regular tactics. Save at the Inn once more, then leave the city. Pay her fee (or go fight some monsters if you're short) to learn where you need to go next. Stock up on ingredients for Sandwiches and Cabbage Rolls. The Desert Rose is a food vendor, so buy one each ofwhat you don't yet have, namely Cabbage, Pork, Onion, Barley Rice, and Red Satay. They can help with exploring the world, but most of what they offer is stuff that is covered in the walkthrough, so don't worry about them too much right now. Take the path through the north of the town, and stop to speak to the Katz. Equip Lloyd and Genis with their new gear. Then to the Sand Shield to get a White Cloak, a second Beret, a Ribbon, Gloves, and anywhere from one to four Capes. Go to Heat Storm and buy a Knight's Saber, a Flying Disk, and a Fine Star. There's a fun little scene with another Colette-sized hole in a wall to see.
